My name is Mark Aiello, and I grew up in Rome, NY. I have a supportive wife and one son, Anthony. I am a retired law enforcement officer who now raises grass-fed beef. Fifteen years ago, as I was approaching retirement, I sought a new venture and decided to try knifemaking. I bought an anvil, a gas forge, and a hammer, and thus began my journey.

Today, I am the owner of Aiello Custom Knives and Copper City Forge, a full-service custom shop. I specialize in crafting all types of Damascus steel in my shop, along with stainless and carbon steel, to create a wide range of knives and axes. I offer hundreds of handle materials for customers to choose from. Clients can provide a design or collaborate with me to create one together.

I make various styles, including kitchen knives, Bowie knives, hunting knives, skinners, and folding pocket knives. All knives come with a warranty and lifetime sharpening. Orders can be placed in person, over the phone, or via email.
